A story of how a company put their trust in the underdog. And how we helped them create TP documents faster and cheaper. Curious how this happened? Read the full story below.
The client in question is a global group of premium, co-educational schools based in the UK offering a modern, holistic approach to international education for young students.
Their tax team was growing, but their internal TP knowledge was still limited. They initially worked with a UK Big Four firm to develop a TP template, but ultimately decided to switch to Coperitas. We’ll explain what drove that decision and how we supported them through the transition.
This client started their TP documentation journey with a UK Big Four. This partnership turned out to be slow, indirect and most importantly far too expensive.
Seeing this, we stepped in to show what Coperitas could do differently. Our team kicked off with a small proof-of-concept project to earn their trust. We also performed a TP compliance risk analysis (including interviews) to ensure our solution aligned with their needs.
The goal was only two words long: Faster & Cheaper. Luckily Coperitas was able to provide these benefits by simply offering the document creator. Here is a summary of what they needed:
As their relationship with the Big Four was ending regarding the creation of TP documentation and shifted to more value adding consulting, our goal was to show them how Coperitas could be beneficial. Our top priority was to help them out quickly and show our expertise in a proactive way to create that long lasting relationship.
Step one: Compliance analysis
First, we created an overview of required TP documentation and localization for 17 countries. This provided this company with insight in the workload. Our goal was to create a tailored and effective approach that would make a difference.
Step two: Proof of concept
To prove our value quickly, our team developed the first of the 17 required local files. The outcome convinced the client to proceed with documenting the remaining 16 files using Coperitas.
Step three: Implementation
Once they saw what we did, how we did it, and most importantly, experienced it, our client wanted us to implement the rest of the countries. During implementation we focused on consistency by utilizing the available template created by their trusted advisor.
Step four: Offering proactive services
Our support didn’t stop once everything was implemented. We facilitated a smooth transition to their new head of tax and tax manager over time. We also check in regularly to see how things are going and chat about any new challenges they’re facing.
This company didn’t just get Coperitas, they got the team behind it as well. If any questions or challenges came up that the software couldn’t solve, they knew they could turn to us to connect them with the right business partner in our network.

We are happy to say that we could give our client exactly what they needed. It was fantastic to see how we went from having to win their trust to becoming someone they can rely on. In short this is what we accomplished working with them:
Together with the client’s tax team, we at Coperitas built a reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient TP documentation process.
